So I did a thing…I am studying to become a Personal Trainer. This is something I am doing to challenge and hopefully to inspire those around me. I want to ensure that I stay as mobile as possible for as long as I can. While I don’t need to become a personal trainer to thwart any mobility issues, I am out to prove something to myself….someone can go from barely moving to fit at 62. No excuses!

I will admit that I had weight loss surgery a little over two years ago. My weight had ballooned up to a high of 310 pounds. While the surgery helped me to lose a lot of the excess weight, it did not get me fit. Nor did it get me to my goal weight. The last 60 pound are going to take drive, focusing on my nutrition, and attaining fitness.

My ever-inquiring mind thought that committing to learn about fitness while getting fit would benefit mind and body. There’s a lot to this journey. I’m challenging myself mentally and physically. It should be exciting to see how far I can take this!
